We made it to 2018!
So how is your new year so far!?
Mine has a lot on it’s “to-do-list.” Last year I had some downfalls so this year I am striving towards finding better solutions. Here are few things I did and still doing to overcome the challenges along my journey.1. I am prioritizing things and it helped me improve being on time.; That “African Time” thing lol can influence you into some bad habits and it may reflects in your professional deadlines and set you back.
2. Meditatation & Exercise in the morning; I found myself being more active and feeling less tired throughout the day.
3.Humbled and expressed myself in an open conversation with someone, even when I felt frustrated and almost giving up then identified I had to take a break when needed, to not get overwhelmed; This helped me stay positive and also not overthink things and make them seem worse than they are.4. Come out of my comfort zone and meet new people, network and share my thoughts; This is a self-growing experience that introduced me to new ideas and some skills I didn’t know I possessed.
And lastly, 5. I have went from being reactive to proactive when it comes to my short term goals. I write down a to-do list whether it’s things to do in the next 2 hours, daily or yearly cause before I found myself procrastinating “I will do it tomorrow” and then the next day I had more on my to-do list.
